Let’s make Love, Not war.

Pissed off,

Mad as hell

He is angry, she is hurting…

Pulsating emotions,

Excruciating pain,

Disagreements,

Misunderstandings,

Feelings of betrayal

Brewing shades of mistrust

Doubt caressed

He cheated, she lied.

Blame game,

An alibi created,

Scapegoat framed…

For misdeeds arising from

rumors and gossip.

He said, she said, they said..

Clouds of disbelief,

words said in anger,

rush judgments

hush thoughts…

He is in pain, she is crying.

Love once beautiful

Lost in pain…

Brewed by feelings of

doubt and mistrust-

He is emotional, she is emotional

He said things he didn’t mean

She accused him of things he didn’t do…

Feelings here,

Feelings there…

The night is cold,

Things were said-

He doesn’t want to fight anymore

She is tired of the arguments

He’s apologizing,

She’s apologizing..

Caresses and hugs,

Tears and pain…

Thoughts here and there,

Darling if you want to fight,

Let’s take it to the bedroom…

Baby, if you want to scream,

Let’s take it to the bedroom

And I will make you scream…

Get lost through sessions

of love making…

Replacing our fights and arguments

with sweet love making and moans…

Let’s not fight and argue,

Let’s make love, not war…

I am an African woman and a mother to a precious little angel. I love to use the term "Afro-floetic Queen" mostly to describe my poetry and my roots. I love poetry...art, soul music and inspirational bits of knowledge to offer advice and counseling to those who need it. I can be very witty, straight forward but fun. Ha. ha... A colorful perception of the world - expressed in my poetry. I want to inspire people with my Poetry...give them hope, while also advising them. Life is a learning process and i am happy when one of my pieces directly affects or inspires one of my readers. Let's take a detour around experience, and let me fill your minds with sweet poetic juices.... Note: Just changed my user name from FloetryC to AfroetryC because the latter is more personal and describes my Spoken Word Poetry better.
