Boo, do you mind? ( Literally)

Boo, do you mind?

If i borrow your mind for a while,

intertwine your thoughts with mine
Woo you with my intelligence,

crazy dreams and fantasies.

Juggle with liquid dreams and

my artistic impression and perceptions of our future
Take you on a long walk to places-

detours of the finest as my mind invokes

thoughts of us through the ages, through the cold.

Boo, do you mind?

If i borrow your house for a while and lay back,

stuff the cushions, draw up patterns to match,

color up your house as you relax-

swirl across your living room,

turn up the music, play our favorite soul jam.

i remember we danced to Johnny Gill’s,

“let’s get the mood right” on our date

as you held me tight.

Let’s re-visit those memories.

I’ll fix up your kitchen and turn up that grill,

bake your favorite cake- caress the mixer

as i work the fry and make you your favorite meal.

i know you love that fried fish and vegetables,

baked potatoes with cream, steamed rice

and vegetables and grilled chicken.
It’s your feast darling, and i’m your chef, butler and maid.
Pour you a glass of wine- dine and talk of the old days,

watch you eat, feed you.
Whatever you need…

Run your bath water, lay out some pressed pajamas.

Let’s watch a movie under dim lights.

Should i massage your back?
Fetch you a beer and some corn,
Fall asleep on your shoulder
and kiss your neck for you deserve it all.

Boo, do you mind if i borrow your heart for a while?

Merge your dreams with mine- fill your fantasies.
Talk about love and all the crazy stuff.
Look into your eyes and tell you that i love you.
Lay next to you just to hear your heart beat,
Speak to your heart as you share your deepest secrets with me.
Lie down and let’s make hay-
make promises as i recite my poetry to your heart.
Give you an erotic poetry session under dim lights-
to last- to last.

Boo, do you mind if i print my name in your mind forever,

write my name across your heart for all eternity-

create a permanent camp and make your House my home?

After all, you’re my man.
I’m grateful
i’m showing my appreciation…

Need i add more, boo?

I’m catering to a Good, Intelligent, strong Man.

I am an African woman and a mother to a precious little angel. I love to use the term "Afro-floetic Queen" mostly to describe my poetry and my roots. I love, soul music and inspirational bits of knowledge to offer advice and counseling to those who need it. I can be very witty, straight forward but fun. Ha. ha... A colorful perception of the world - expressed in my poetry. I want to inspire people with my Poetry...give them hope, while also advising them. Life is a learning process and i am happy when one of my pieces directly affects or inspires one of my readers. Let's take a detour around experience, and let me fill your minds with sweet poetic juices.... Note: Just changed my user name from FloetryC to AfroetryC because the latter is more personal and describes my Spoken Word Poetry better.
