Drama Queen ( Woes of “Miss Thang”)

D: Drawing

R: Ridiculous

A: Attention and

M: Making an

A: Ass of yourself.

”A real woman avoids drama; she knows her time is

precious and she is not wasting it on unimportant things”.

Panic, panic! Her nail is broken.

Wait; there is a pimple on her face

and she thinks she’s going to die.

Damn. Her boyfriend is two minutes late and

she’s tripping. She thinks that he’s cheating.

Shoot! She posted her problems on social media

and she was advised. She thinks she has haters.

She is trapped in her own delusional sense of a

fictional reality and oozing drama. Attracting drama

wherever she goes, dining with drama, associating

with drama. An obnoxious dichotomy ruler seated

in a shady throne in the kingdom of utopia. An immature

woman of farce characterized by emotional gluttony.

Taking words out of context to suit her needs.

Thinking that she’s always right and better than

others but quick to play victim to have her way.

Rationalizing her actions with egotistical intelligence.

Misunderstanding words, misinterpreting actions.

Quick to play victim, using her emotions as scapegoats.

A twisted woman with a compounded interest, explosive

and hyper-reactive. Every little thing is an excuse to lash

out, rant and whine. Making grand statements, big deals

out of things. Torpid emotions and tantrums; churning

words to replicate different meanings. Understanding

less and playing deaf and dumb to reason, mocking logic.

Quick to cry foul amidst reason and judgment. A moving

controversy embedded in double standards. An emotional

card she plays to seek unnecessary attention and derive

comfort. She’s the female always posting her problems on

social media. Dramatizing events just to snug attention.

Thinking that the world owes her everything. Feeding people

around her with unnecessary drama. She can’t handle a stable

relationship because of drama. She is insecure, paranoid and

delusional. Her man can’t feed her truth and facts because of

her whiny dramatic self. Constantly choking the lives of those

who care about her with negativity. Manipulating their thoughts,

confusing their actions. Talking loud, unnecessary quarrels and bitching

scenes. Exaggerating issues, hiding behind tears and self pity caresses.

Drama Queen, relinquish your crown and turn down the heat on your

emotional generator. Don’t get ahead of yourself and think that you’re

the only one who got problems. Suck it up, Queen and handle your

business. Take control of your emotions and thoughts. Analyze yourself

and control your actions. The world doesn’t only revolve around you.

Let go of that pedestal you have built, and start taking responsibilities

about your actions than drown everyone into your drama. Don’t feed

social media with your problems; handle them as a mature woman.

Drama Queen, re-brand yourself and drop the “D” from your crown.

Embrace integrity and maturity, as a real Queen.

I am an African woman and a mother to a precious little angel. I love to use the term "Afro-floetic Queen" mostly to describe my poetry and my roots. I love poetry...art, soul music and inspirational bits of knowledge to offer advice and counseling to those who need it. I can be very witty, straight forward but fun. Ha. ha... A colorful perception of the world - expressed in my poetry. I want to inspire people with my Poetry...give them hope, while also advising them. Life is a learning process and i am happy when one of my pieces directly affects or inspires one of my readers. Let's take a detour around experience, and let me fill your minds with sweet poetic juices.... Note: Just changed my user name from FloetryC to AfroetryC because the latter is more personal and describes my Spoken Word Poetry better.
