His Monster ( The monster he created)

The woman he fell in love with now rests on

a blood layered grave.

Words printed bold in conclave lettering,

“My loving wife, woman with a beautiful soul.

Gone too soon”.

Out of a beautiful, kind caring woman sprung

a hideous creature.

A vile creature with sharpened teeth and a

loose sharp tongue constantly fighting,

yelling and insulting him.

Belligerent: Claws for every blow and quick to fight.

Words as hot as fire, mean words penetrating through

his skin like a distressed addict’s needle.

Misinterpreting everything he says, replicating different

meanings to all his actions.

She’s become paranoid, insecure and obnoxious.

Glaring eyes mocking his masculinity.

Disrespecting him and insulting his intelligence.

She’s bitter, pouting her mouth, constantly sulking

and negative.

She’s a monster riddled with thick skin.

He turned an amazing beautiful woman into a

monster when he constantly lied, mistreated

and cheated on her.

Draining all the love and respect that used to

reside in their home and replacing chaos with peace.

He killed her inside each time he lied and made

her look like a fool in front of her friends and family.

Silent sobs at night as he crept instead of sleeping.

Tears of distress holding a million plots and killing her

softly.

A love turned into vengeance for all the times he hurt

and caused her pain.

Their house is now a war zone and he’s afraid of

going home.

The monster he created now frightens him and

night mares fill his dreams.

Thoughts of his woman spiking his drink or putting

something in his food haunt him like a ghost.

His woman is completely detached from her former

shell and has forgotten how to love.

Very conniving, deceitful and always plotting something.

His efforts and struggles go unnoticed.

His words are used against him, actions are judged.

Nothing he does seem to please her.

He is out of options, crippled by distress, disturbed

by her belligerent attitude and reminded of the

mistakes he made and the pain he caused her.

Looking into the eyes of the monster he created,

searching for the soul of the woman he fell in love with.

A fool’s distress, the creature he created now mocks

and dances naked on the grave of the woman

he fell in love with.

Words written with spray paint,

“Your beautiful monster, woman you created.

Til death do us part.”

I am an African woman and a mother to a precious little angel. I love to use the term "Afro-floetic Queen" mostly to describe my poetry and my roots. I love poetry...art, soul music and inspirational bits of knowledge to offer advice and counseling to those who need it. I can be very witty, straight forward but fun. Ha. ha... A colorful perception of the world - expressed in my poetry. I want to inspire people with my Poetry...give them hope, while also advising them. Life is a learning process and i am happy when one of my pieces directly affects or inspires one of my readers. Let's take a detour around experience, and let me fill your minds with sweet poetic juices.... Note: Just changed my user name from FloetryC to AfroetryC because the latter is more personal and describes my Spoken Word Poetry better.
