My inspiration

My inspiration bleeds out like time.

It transcends through art, nature,

strings of humanity and love.

Words of inspiration glide across my

pages- coaxing the phrases to render

them bold.

Sentences combined describe my

written scribe with a lingering urge to

inscribe obsession and describe my

passion.

Passion and pain are a part of my

portfolio as a poetess.

Inspiration drives my passion and

enthuses an artistic will as i wield the

pen with theatrical prowess- praying

to God that inspiration takes hold.

Words are freed from my mind like

spirits- draining oceans of ink as i

indulge in prolific compositions and

imagination meets its muse.

My mind transcends with inspiration.

I turn writing into a masterpiece.

I write about love, hoping that one

will care

I write about my experience, wield

that someone will relate.

I write about humanity, to instill the

aspect of love and empathy.

I write about life, encourage those

to not despair.

So, i share this burning fire, tap the

mic and embrace your clairvoyance.

Inspire and let you follow my stride

as i weave my linguistic labyrinth.

I am an African woman and a mother to a precious little angel. I love to use the term "Afro-floetic Queen" mostly to describe my poetry and my roots. I love poetry...art, soul music and inspirational bits of knowledge to offer advice and counseling to those who need it. I can be very witty, straight forward but fun. Ha. ha... A colorful perception of the world - expressed in my poetry. I want to inspire people with my Poetry...give them hope, while also advising them. Life is a learning process and i am happy when one of my pieces directly affects or inspires one of my readers. Let's take a detour around experience, and let me fill your minds with sweet poetic juices.... Note: Just changed my user name from FloetryC to AfroetryC because the latter is more personal and describes my Spoken Word Poetry better.
