Jazzoetry

My funky jazz-man gives me the blues!

He rotates his saxophone; slams and

whistles a poignant melody.

Draws me to the dance floor and takes

me on a mellifluous journey between notes.

Sound drips like drops of rain following

an amazing pattern.

Subtle vibes saturate my being.

His sound rumbles through the deep

valley of my beautiful soul, fills my

midnight love depravity and binds me

senseless.

Romantic waltz switches tempo.

Conversational instruments communicate

to each other harmoniously.

Love notes of music come wafting down

with a mind blowing sound after a soft

paddling double bass.

I am in awe- drifting between feelings of

elation and heart break.

The sensational drummer hits the sizzle

cymbal, horns reverberate an avalanche of

sound complimenting my afrocentric vibe

as i lay down my exotic vibrations.

My deep poetry and his smooth jazz collide

at this point in a synchronized rhythm of

sounds and beats.

He makes love to me on stage without a

condom.

We drown in the smoky haze of our smooth,

mind blowing jazzoetry.

I am an African woman and a mother to a precious little angel. I love to use the term "Afro-floetic Queen" mostly to describe my poetry and my roots. I love poetry...art, soul music and inspirational bits of knowledge to offer advice and counseling to those who need it. I can be very witty, straight forward but fun. Ha. ha... A colorful perception of the world - expressed in my poetry. I want to inspire people with my Poetry...give them hope, while also advising them. Life is a learning process and i am happy when one of my pieces directly affects or inspires one of my readers. Let's take a detour around experience, and let me fill your minds with sweet poetic juices.... Note: Just changed my user name from FloetryC to AfroetryC because the latter is more personal and describes my Spoken Word Poetry better.
