Our first Christmas

Magic blooms in the city-it’s the season of love and joy.

The night’s complexion luminates our glow- flirty moon’s naughtiness ignites passion deep as we ride on Aladdin’s magic carpet through the tidal waves of our first Christmas together.

Harsh winds blow out in confusion…brushing across our nude skin- echoing chimes across the street resonate with our hearts’ music.

We trim the tree with the brightest lights – pop a mistletoe sprig in the doorway and indulge in a deep kiss…cuddle up together and get lost in a warm embrace-split a decadent dessert and a few drinks eventually…then, swirl around the beribonned tree to Alexander O’Neal’s, “our first Christmas”.

You’ll whisper loving endearments in my attentive ears and my cheeks will sparkle like Christmas lights. We’ll make a toast and declare it a yearly tradition henceforth in celebration of more firsts together!

To our first Christmas, King!

I am an African woman and a mother to a precious little angel. I love to use the term "Afro-floetic Queen" mostly to describe my poetry and my roots. I love poetry...art, soul music and inspirational bits of knowledge to offer advice and counseling to those who need it. I can be very witty, straight forward but fun. Ha. ha... A colorful perception of the world - expressed in my poetry. I want to inspire people with my Poetry...give them hope, while also advising them. Life is a learning process and i am happy when one of my pieces directly affects or inspires one of my readers. Let's take a detour around experience, and let me fill your minds with sweet poetic juices.... Note: Just changed my user name from FloetryC to AfroetryC because the latter is more personal and describes my Spoken Word Poetry better.
